Hemp Extract or CBD? What does it mean?
Nuhemp labels its product line as Hemp Extract due to the ever-changing laws and regulations in the CBD industry. All of our products contain CBD or Cannabidiol in full spectrum and broad spectrum versions derived only from USA organic farms, extracted from the hemp cannabis plant.
Don’t be fooled by products that have no mention of cannabidiol or hemp extract and only list hemp seeds, hempseed oil, or Cannabis sativa seed oil. These ingredients aren’t the same as hemp extract CBD.
Full-spectrum hemp extract or CBD contains all of the naturally available compounds of the cannabis plant, including THC. However, in hemp-derived full-spectrum CBD, the THC will be no more than 0.3 percent at the dry weight. THC levels rise when the flowers are extracted into oil.
Broad-spectrum hemp extract or CBD has all of the naturally occurring compounds, except all of the THC—or all but a very tiny amount–is typically removed.

Why is certified hemp testing important?
Reputable CBD and hemp companies use unbiased, third-party lab testing to prove that their products contain what the label says.
At nuhemp, we use an independent third-party lab to test each batch of our products multiple times. In doing so, we ensure the quality, potency, and purity of the ingredients. The lab runs a panel of tests to discern what is in our products, but just as importantly, what isn’t in our products—heavy metals, pesticides, or any harmful microbes. Once the testing is complete, we receive a Certificate of Analysis, which can be accessed by the QR code on the label of all our products.

Will hemp get me "high"?
Hemp extract can do a lot for your body, but getting “high” isn’t one of them.
Hemp extract does contain terpenes and flavonoids, organic compounds present in all plants, fruits, and vegetables that give off specific aromas and tastes.
These elicit responses in the body and can act synergistically with cannabinoids to boost their effects. So while hemp can make your body feel good and relax your mind, it won’t make you feel high—even when taken in large doses.†
What is a certificate of analysis?
A COA is an easy to read document with specific scientific content that, for hemp extract products will provide test results identifying the products cannabinoid profile which will break down the compounds within a finished manufactured hemp product. These include the amounts of THC, CBDA, CBD, CBNA, CBN compounds for a percent (%) result of milligrams (mg) and grams (g) potency.

Broad spectrum vs Full spectrum hemp? What's the difference?
“Full Spectrum” Hemp Extract
Sometimes full spectrum hemp extract is also referred to as “whole plant” or “full plant” extract. Full spectrum hemp extract is a concentration of all components of the hemp plant, including cannabinoids, terpenes, plant sterols, fatty acids, flavonoids, and essential oils, vitamins, and other nutrients. CBD is one of the most abundant compounds, but there are many others including cannabigerol (CBG), cannabinol (CBN), and—if it is extracted from marijuana instead of industrial hemp— tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Most full spectrum hemp extracts are extracted from low-THC industrial hemp and only contain .3% THC, and products containing levels this low will not produce a high.
“Broad Spectrum” CBD Extract
Broad spectrum hemp extract is very similar to full spectrum extract except it typically has the THC molecule removed, or is made from special strains of cannabis with no THC. This is an excellent fit for people who want the benefits of CBD without the “high” and psychoactive affects of THC, or who have to take drug tests or cannot use full spectrum products for other reasons. Broad spectrum is typically made in two ways: from full spectrum hemp extract and then the THC is removed, or by taking CBD isolate and then adding the other phyto-components (except for the THC) back in.
